How to resize a signature for an application

  1. 1. Choose a signature image

Upload a clear JPG or PNG signature. Crop unnecessary margins in your source image before uploading.

  2. 2. Set the requirements

Enter the maximum KB size and required pixel dimensions, or use the resize slider. Choose output format, quality and white background if needed.

  3. 3. Resize and inspect

Select Resize Signature, check the thin strokes and dimensions in the result, then download.

Supported formats and features

JPG and PNG signatures

Keep the original format or export JPG/PNG. Quality affects JPG, while PNG uses lossless encoding.

Proportional resizing

The slider preserves the signature shape. Keep Maintain aspect ratio checked to avoid distorting strokes.

Fixed dimensions by default

The tool does not shrink past selected dimensions unless you enable Allow smaller dimensions to meet the size limit.

Keep every stroke readable

Use a tightly cropped, clear signature on a plain background. Enter required pixel dimensions and the maximum KB limit. Dimensions stay fixed unless you explicitly allow a smaller image. Inspect the thinnest strokes before submitting.

Good questions. Simple answers.

Can I prepare a signature under 20KB?

Enter 20 with KB selected, then set the pixel dimensions required by the form. Whether enough detail fits depends on the source, dimensions and format.

Does this tool create or sign a document?

No. It resizes an existing signature image. It does not generate signatures or add a digital signature to a PDF.

Which signature size should I use?

Follow your application’s current official instructions. Different forms require different pixel dimensions, backgrounds and file sizes.

Is DocsReady free?

All ten tools are free to use. No account or subscription is required.

Does my file get uploaded to a server?

No. These tools process file contents in your browser. Temporary previews and results use browser memory; Start Over releases their references. Downloads remain on your device.

Can I use DocsReady on mobile?

Yes, in a modern browser with image and download support. Use fewer or smaller files if a large job exceeds your device’s memory. Your browser controls where downloads are saved.
