Image Tools
Choose the format and pixel dimensions required by your destination. Check previews for clipping and review the downloaded file rather than a scaled browser preview.
Does changing DPI increase image detail?
No. Changing density metadata changes the intended print scale, not the captured detail. Resampling adds or removes pixels without recovering missing detail. Rasterizing a PDF at a higher DPI can capture more of its vector detail.
PDF Tools
Use a valid, supported PDF and inspect page order after processing. Operations may not preserve document-level forms, bookmarks or digital signatures.
Why does PDF compression sometimes not reach the requested size?
The selected minimum DPI or retained text and graphics may prevent a smaller result. An unmet target is reported honestly. Increase the target or explicitly choose stronger compression; rasterization can reduce fine detail and remove selectable text.
Signature Tools
Start with dark ink on evenly lit paper. Inspect thin strokes after background cleanup. PNG supports transparency; JPG requires a solid background.
Application Tools
Read the receiving organization’s current specifications before selecting photo, signature or document settings. Check every downloaded file before submission.
Can DocsReady guarantee government application acceptance?
No. DocsReady is independent and cannot guarantee acceptance by any portal or authority. File specifications, photo rules and submission requirements are set by the receiving organization.
Compression Tools
A DocsReady KB is 1,024 bytes and an MB is 1,048,576 bytes. If a portal defines KB as 1,000 bytes, choose a slightly lower target and verify the actual byte count.
Why is my downloaded file larger?
Resizing upward, adding content or converting formats can increase size. Lossless PNG often needs more bytes than JPG for photos. Compression cannot make every source smaller; compare actual output bytes and the reported result. A larger conversion is not successful size reduction.
Why can’t every file reach an exact KB target?
The target is a maximum, not an exact byte count. Files are not padded to match it. Image content, format, minimum dimensions and quality constraints can prevent reaching a very small limit. Use a more realistic target or explicitly relax those constraints.

Where are my files processed?
Current DocsReady file tools are designed to process files locally in your browser where stated on the tool page. Selecting a file gives that page access for processing. Check the page for the architecture of any future tool.
Do you store uploaded files?
The current local tools do not upload files to a processing server or maintain a server archive. Previews and outputs use browser memory. Your downloads remain on your device until you delete them. Normal website and analytics requests are described in the Privacy Policy.
Downloads
Use the download button in the result panel after processing finishes. For ZIP results, extract the archive to access individual files.
Where are downloaded files saved?
Your browser controls the destination, often a Downloads folder or the Files app on mobile. Check the browser’s download list, permissions and save prompts. Open the saved file to verify its actual dimensions; a preview may be displayed at a smaller size.
Common Errors
Check the tool’s supported formats and limits, and enter valid numeric settings. Encrypted or damaged PDFs may not be supported. Large files need more browser memory; try fewer pages or smaller inputs on mobile.
If a problem persists, tell support the tool, browser, device, chosen settings and expected versus actual result. Do not send passwords or sensitive identification documents.
